Jax loves pizza. He can eat two whole pieces (without the crust). Obviously it makes a mess, but its worth it all!

Officially a Walker!

Jax took his first few steps (that can really be counted on two hands) on Monday, November 12. He's doing great and we've put away all 'push' toys to help him keep motivated. He walks and says "YEAH, JAX!" He's a little bit of a self-praiser.

since we'd been to the park to play. Jax was screaming because he was having so much fun here! Therefore, we've been back to the park quite a few times since this moment!

Speed Demon!

Jax loves to walk with his walker. He actually loves to walk around the house pushing anything...but especially this toy! He's SO fast and he just picks it up and turns around with it to go another direction.

Jax was getting a little shaggy around the ears, so it was time for his first haircut. Wade was a genius by thinking to bring a sucker for him. As long as we didn't touch the sucker, we could have cut his hair all day!

Happy Birthday Jax!

Life is full of surprises! We were all geared up to have Jax's birthday party at our house, then an hour before the party the air conditioner just stopped working. So, Papa and Mama Don saved the day by letting us move it to their house. It turned out terrific. Luckily, we were all ready to go so it was just a matter of loading up the cars. Jax had a fantastic time and loves all of his toys!

Okay, Jax got tons of gifts but he cared most about playing with the paper and bows!

Jax has just started praising himself at every opportunity possible. This was one of those instances! He had probably just unwrapped a present and thought he did a good job.

Happy First Birthday!

Jax had a birthday party at Roxy and Grandpa's house for a few friends and family. He loved his cake, and you can see the progression of how much he liked it below! He took no time to dig in!

Jax loved this keyboard and microphone at Roxy and Grandpa's house. He'd press as many buttons as possible then sing us a tune in the microphone!

The trip home

On the way home from the beach, Jax was exhausted but he would not give in. At least we learned a new word, his name. He can say Jax.

Jax loves to tell people hello wherever we are. And his hey has a voice influction that makes it even cuter.

The Boys

The "Lombard" Crew...and what a crew it is. In December there will be one more boy added to this clan. We're so blessed that God has given this family 6 healthy beautiful boys...and one on the way.

Night, Night

Jax has started this new game where we say "Night, Night" and he'll lay his head on his blanket. Then, we'll say "Wake Up, Wake Up". And he pops his head up. He was extremely tired after each day, so every night at dinner, he would simply lay his head down and rest while the rest of us finished dinner.

The Beach...Jax was not a fan!

Well, we did it, our obligation as parents...we took Jax to the beach for the first time. Wade and I definitely do not love the beach. We'd much rather be at the pool. However, we did spend a entire 10 minutes at the beach while in Florida. It was such a pain to be there! Jax did not like the feel of the sand and was a little bit hesitant when the waves came crashing in. But at 11 months old, he has seen the beach!

Squirt Park Rosemary Beach

There was a squirt park near our house at the beach. Jax got used to it after a while. You can see below that he really started to enjoy himself!

Momma Don took the boys to the Sugar Shack to get a treat before heading to the Squirt Park at Rosemary Beach. As you saw in the above pics, Jax truly loved his selection! And from his belly in this pic you can tell that he had been deprived of treats!

Biking Anyone?

While we were on vacation, we borrowed some bikes and one of them had this little thing that the younger boys could ride in. I think Jax was enjoying himself? Obviously, Sam was ready to get out!

Uncle Derek, Aunt Lindsey and Deej

This is the most chill kid I've ever met. Seriously, it's ridiculous. Wade has nicknamed him Deej because he's so much of a Derek Junior.

Grayson Self

This is the newest addition to the Self family. He's a little munchkin and such a good baby. I enjoyed the time this summer to get hold him and love on him. The next time I see him, he'll be so much bigger.

Bath Time

Somehow, bathtime has become father and son time. And usually, there is a mess to clean up after the fact!! Jax has these balls that you can squirt people with. Everytime that Wade squirts him, no matter where it is on Jax's body, he opens his mouth really wide.

Jax and Ella

This was taken a month or so ago. But this is Jax's newest friend, Ella Skelton. Some of you may know her parents, Derrick & Chrissy Skelton. Derrick is the new children's pastor at Metro. Jax and Ella are big buddies. I'm sure you'll be seeing more of her. She is a month younger than Jax.

Just a swingin'

Jax loves to go to the park and swing. It's been so hot here, lately that we haven't really had the chance. But when it cools down...I'm sure we'll be there more! Daddy pushes him high and his little fingers turn white from trying to hold on!

Logan let Jax borrow his water wings at Poppi G & Gigi's house, but I think the verdict is still out! He just kept looking at them trying to pull them off!

Ice!

Roxy came to visit a few weeks ago. She let Jax get his own ice out of the cup. It was such a mess but he loved every second of it! This was him crunching on a piece.

Pillow Fight!

Jax loves pillow fights...we were in the middle of one here! Oh, and note the two teeth. He has four now on bottom and two on top!

As of yesterday, Jax was a master of pushups. But as of today, he's definitely crawling. He'll be ten months old on July 8.

Loves to Drive the Truck

Jax is such a fan of trucks. He loves to wait on Daddy to drive up then pull into the garage with him. You can't tell it by the look on his face, but he truly does enjoy it! Jax and I went to Cleveland this past week. Once we arrived in Chattanooga, he was pretty much over the trip all together. He doesn't love to sleep in the carseat anyway. We would drive down the interstate with him crying. But as soon as we would pass a big eighteen wheeler he would stop crying. Then he would cry until he saw another BIG truck! I laughed for a while too but then it wasn't funny anymore!

Parker is getting chunkier and more adorable every day. I mean, can you believe this hair??!! He looks just like Derek to us. SO CUTE!

One more on the way!

Well, in case you haven't heard...one more baby is on the way. Lindsey, Ashley and I always said that we'd all be pregnant at the same time. And we barely made the mark! Lindsey was being enduced the morning after this picture was taken! Wade and I are very excited. Baby #2 is due on December 23. We can't think of a better Christmas gift! I'm ten weeks along and counting. My pregnancy has been a little different this time but I try to roll with the punches. It's getting much better and surprisingly, I'm not as tired as I was with Jax?! Jax and the baby will be 15 months apart. People say that I'm crazy but I reassure them that it will probably only last five years!! We'll keep you posted.

Happy Memorial Day 2007

We went to Gigi's and Poppi G's for Memorial Day. Jax had his first popsicle. He was just getting started during this picture. However, he almost ate the entire thing!

First time in the pool

Jax and I went to the pool for the first time on May 22. He loved it. Mostly, he just loved drinking the water. It was rather cold, and he really wanted to watch the guys cutting the grass instead of splashing in the pool! But we had a blast.

Derek "Parker" Mills

Another Lombard cousin has been added to the ever growing clan of BOYS! Lindsey and Derek gave birth to a beautiful baby boy with a massive amount of black hair on April 25 at 2:48 p.m. (Sorry about the delay in getting pics of him up on the blog!). He's grown so much since we took these. In fact, he's already sleeping 7 hours through the night...what a dream!
